Victoria Goes to DisneyWorld

Victoria is a happy, caring, 7-year-old, who doesn’t let anything get her down. She loves to play Princess and dress up. Victoria looks forward to the day her treatments are over. She has had short hair due to her illness for a very long time, at one point having no hair at all. She is always telling mom “when I get better, I will have hair like Rapunzel to put in ponytails.”

Diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at the age of 18 months took a toll on her little body. She received treatments for 2 years that included chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplant, immunotherapy, and multiple surgeries.

Victoria was one of the first children to be part of the trial treatment for Cancer. She was placed on a study drug for a year! Mom and Dad were trusting because she was treated by one of the leading Neuroblastoma Doctors in the United States at MUSC Children’s Hospital.  Although treatments were tough for Victoria, her family kept a positive mindset, which paid off.

As of January 2023, Victoria has had clear scans, and is well enough for her wish. Victoria’s wish was to visit Disney World, specifically, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

Children’s wish Foundation gave Victoria the wish of her life. She enjoyed meeting Minnie and Mickey, Lilo and Stitch, and of course visiting “it’s a small world’ in Epcot.

Victoria also visited SeaWorld. She had a blast playing with the dolphins, she even made a special friend while she was there- A dolphin named Sasha.  Mom said, “We loved seeing all the sea life (dolphins, manatees, sting rays, sharks) also the penguins. The girls also really enjoyed Sesame Street land and the games where you win a stuffed animal, this has been the best start of 2023 for Victoria, thank you so much!”
