Grace’s Shopping Adventure in London

Grace was diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in the middle of the COVID-19 last year. Grace, now 17 years old feels grateful to be alive, and able to be around the people who love her the most, her family. During her treatment she never complained or showed self-pity. Grace was once asked how she could always keep a smile on her face and her response was “it is what it is, and I have to get on with it”.
Grace has been battling another intimidating situation; how to dress her cancer body. After a long wait, her wish for a shopping spree in London with her family came true. Children’s Wish Foundation was happy to fulfill Grace’s wish and give her more than she asked for. Grace and her family took the train to London for the weekend to start her adventure. First stop was the Stafford, a luxury hotel located in the heart of London. The next day, Grace was invited on a private tour to visit Kensington Palace and see Princess Diana’s original wedding dress. Grace spent hours on a shopping spree in Piccadilly, shopping at Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, and her favorite bookstores. For dinner, she dined at Thai Soho-her favorite type of food.
Grace said, “I had such a brilliant time, thank you for fulfilling my wish, it was great to get a break from my sickness and spend time with my family”. Grace had the time of her life on this adventure weekend. She and her family were given memories they would always cherish.
