Kalee dreamed of traveling to Disney ever since she saw an ad on television showing all the magic that the park had to offer. She loved looking at the characters, the rides, but most of all, she dreamed of meeting the Disney Princesses and the castle they lived in. Her eyes light up when she talks about the beautiful dresses they wear, and, oh…the tiaras!
Kalee was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia shortly after birth. Biliary Atresia is a life-threatening condition that causes the liver to malfunction, fail and eventually can cause death. Kalee is 7 years old now, and although she can be a tom boy, she really is a girly girl. She loves dressing up like a little lady, always being sure that the entire outfit is complete. She loves tea parties, dancing and entertaining her little brother, Lee. Kalee wants more than anything to share her wish with her whole family.
Children’s Wish Foundation International sent Kalee to the most magical place on earth, Disney World! She visited Animal Kingdom, especially falling in love with the pink flamingos. She visited Epcot and got a tour of different countries, tasting strange foods and seeing how foreign people dress. But most of all, she loved Magic Kingdom’s because in Magic Kingdom is Cinderella’s Castle. She dined in the Royal Banquet Hall with Cinderella and all the princesses.
For an entire week, Kalee was free from liver transplants, medications and lab tests. She had an amazing time and will forever hold the joy she felt close to her heart.
