When patients from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta can’t dress up in costumes for Halloween and need a break from being closed off in their hospital rooms, we bring some good old-fashioned fun to our annual ‘Spooktacular’ arts and crafts party. These spookalicious Halloween crafts are perfect for helping kids feel more included and less scared at the hospital.
Each child used paint and brushes (or hands) to make hand prints, finger swirls and abstract designs on their baby pumpkin. Along with drawing pages used to color in witches and ghouls, each child made black widow spiders with paper plate crafts. These cool black widows can sit in a window or hang along the ceiling for the perfect scare. Yikes! The party was complete with Jack-O-Lantern decorations & trick-or-treat bags. How fun!
