Epstein School Gives Back!

We all hear about “giving back to the community”.  Tzedakah is the Jewish word for charitable giving which is typically seen as a moral obligation.  A warm, cuddly blanket brings comfort to children that are going through treatments and long hospital stays.  And so, the 6th grade class of Epstein School has been practicing Tzedakah for over six years by taking time out of their school day to give comfort to sick children. Forty young boys and girls gathered together on Friday, January 26th  to make children in hospitals happy.  They chose different styles, then cut and rolled the blankets, and included a special personal message on each of the eighty blankets they made. Children’s Wish Foundation sends the blankets to hospitals all over the country.  Every child who receives a blanket will snuggle comfortably all while knowing that Atlanta’s children wishes them well.
