Adam’s Holiday at Disneyworld

Adam is a ten-year-old boy from Shropshire, England. At the tender age of just three months of age, Adam was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) an illness that rapidly deteriorates his muscles. DMD an inherited disorder, occurs in about 1 out of every 3,600 male infants.

However, despite his diagnosis, Adam has not let one day go to waste. He enjoys going to amusement parks, the zoo, and shopping for games for his PlayStation and Wii. Adam also loves going out to dinner and spending time with his friends. Even though Adam has quite a number of hobbies, he wanted to add “travel” to his list of life goals.

Adam decided that he needed to go on an airplane, and that the perfect place to travel to is Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Children’s Wish Foundation was more than happy to fulfill Adam’s wish for a holiday at Disney World. Adam and his family hopped on a plane and flew to the United States, where they couldn’t wait to begin their fun-filled adventure! Adam and his family got to visit the Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and the Magic Kingdom. However, his favorite park by far was Jurassic Park in Universal Studios! He saw the fossils from a T-Rex and other dinosaurs, figured out what kind of dinosaur he would have been, and he even got to see a baby Velociraptor being born! Adam had the time of his life in Orlando and created memories that will not soon be forgotten.
